Innalillah WA Inna Ilaihirraji’uun!
It is two years of endurance, mourning my spouse Halimah who transited to great beyond hours after child birth, on 9th of the month of Ramadan 1443 AH (April 10, 2022).
The blessed baby left behind who takes after her mother – Halimah Jnr – is now two healthy and hearty years, in God’s name.
As we kept mourning in supplications with the seniors’ to Halimah Jnr, seeking for continued forgiveness from Allah SWT and to grant the wife and mother eternal rest great beyond, came the painful news of the demise of my sister and subordinate, Jamila Ahmed Mahmud.
Jamila, whom my lovely late wife would always refer to as aunty, was literally so attached to my children, she would refer to as niece and nephew, she loved, cared and nursed the sympathy for; It’s shocking receiving the news of her transmission to great beyond this Ramadan.
Halimah’s sad incident occurred at about 7pm Ramadan 9 while Jamilah’s at about 10pm Ramadan 8, 1445 AH (Monday, March 18, 2024)
The quadragenarian who’s survived by mother, siblings and a son, buried according to Islamic rites today, 9th of Ramadan, was a staff with Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, MAUTH Yola, Adamawa state where she had her last breath.
The Hospital, only but last week, mourned the departure of a senior staff with the department of Finance, Abah Peters. She is today mourning the demise of Jamilah.
May Allah SWT forgive her shortcomings, bless her with Jannatul Firdaus and grant the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. AMEEN!
