Ibrahim Baba Mustapha Esq. emerged as the new chairman, Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria MULAN, Adamawa State chapter to superintend the affairs of the association in the next two years.
The inauguration of the new exclusive members Monday, was sequel to several meetings by the Shura committee, which ratified the appointment of the Mustahpa led exco.
Other executive members include, Hakim A. Abba Secretary, Abdurrahaman Iliyasu vice chairman I, Bintu Hassan vice chairman II, Umar Mustapha financial secretary, Fatima Raji, treasurer and Bamanga Muazu auditor.

The rest are; Auwal Kabir PRO, Abubakar Adamu Welfare Officer, Farida Bashir, Financial Secretary, Salamatu Muhammad Assistant Secretary I and Aisha Hamid Assistant Secretary II.
Some of the core objectives of the association as espoused by the Shura committee include; offering free legal services for the attainment of social justice in the nation and for the promotion of the cause of Islam and promoting the study, understanding and practice of Sharia amongst the Muslim Ummah at all levels.
Others include; to confer, consult and cooperate with sister bodies, or associations with similar objectives with the body and to engage in charitable activities to all who deserve it without discrimination.
The association also seeks to integrate the spirit and teachings of Islam and foster unity and cooperation among Muslim Lawyers.
It also seeks to inculcate the rules and ethics of the legal profession among members, to organise public enlightenment programmes through conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, publication and adverts and to publish and distribute periodicals, magazines, books and other writings which shall enhance the process of the achievement of the Islamic religious way of life and the objectives of the association.
In his speech, the new chairman, thanked the Shura committee for finding him worthy of such trust pledging to pick up the challenge to better the cause of the society and humanity in general.
He promised to live according to the tenets, intendments and aspirations of the association just as he called for the continued support of the members of the association for the good of all members of the society.
