It is most unfortunate that the post Bilal unconciliatory leadership is not only making Adamawa APC unreconciliatory-complex but administratively clueless. A literary critic, Yunusa Abubakar would give a critical thought, arguing that the leadership deserved to have a vote of no confidence passed on it to be able to salvage the party that continued to sag lower.
The former state party leader, Hon Ibrahim Bilal was condemned for among other allegations, ineptitude, when covertly he was perceived to be tilting to the support for Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani governorship ticket gained with a landslide victory that proved uncomfortable to the anti Binani for governorship, he would have to go, as Sen Abbo would say, he was coerced out of office.
The hitherto tagged inept leadership is now seen as rather saintly with what Abubakar would observe as opprobrious leadership structure, tied to tyranny based on arbitrary arrangement that has in any way negated the bye-law of the party, without also taking into account the constitution of the country dealing with politics and structure of political parties.
Abubakar pushed the point Monday, while speaking with the Periscope Global in Abuja, stressing that “it’s a kind of censurable leadership tyranny, anarchically structured with no consideration of and to the party’s established organogram, creating the office of the acting vice chairman and acting deputy chairman of the party.”
Abubakar was lamenting over the new appointments made by the state leadership of the APC, where the acting women leader was appointed, following the alleged under-pressure resignation of the rather active women leader who was erroneously accused of being sponsored to organise the “No Binani No Election” powerful peace protest procession across the state, following the federal high court judgement, which nullified the APC governorship primary elections that produced Binani as the flag bearer of the party, adjudged to have sent cold feather, a feature of defeat, deafening the ruling party with other less popular opposition parties in the state. A case currently challenged before the appeal court, waiting for hearing and determination.
The most debasing, doubting, debatable and debating, rather newfangled about the new appointments that presented the new leadership as clueless, Christiana, joining Abubakar would argue, are the appointments of the acting state deputy chairman and the acting vice chairman Adamawa south said to be enjoying the nurturance of the national vice chairman northeast of the party.
“The national vice chairman northeast of the party has with impunity ignored the obnoxious unconstitutional restructuring of the party’s organogram at the state level, which could call for either a vote of no confidence against the leadership or litigation against the delegitimation of the political party about being reduced to what former Governor Bindow of Adamawa would be pleased to refer to as a mere NGO,” Abubakar would say.
The Periscope Global tried to have the honest take of Honourable Tadawus, the acting APC Adamawa state chairman, over the development so challenged but failed before going to the press.
It would mean taking another story for a response.
