The Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, University of Abuja is set to offer eight degree programmes, namely BSc Advertising, BSc Public Relations, BSc Broadcasting, BSc Film and Multimedia Studies, BSc Journalism and Media Studies, BSc Information and Media Studies, BSc Development Communication and BSc Strategic Communication, as the Faculty awaits the outcome of the National University Commission, NUC’s resource verification to admit students, the pioneer dean of the Faculty, Prof Abdullahi Saleh Bashir said.
“According to Bashir, “Our Faculty of Communication and Media Studies promises to be one of the best in the country. We applied to the NUC (resource verification) to offer eight degree programmes, namely BSc Advertising, BSc Public Relations, BSc Broadcasting, BSc Film and Multimedia Studies, BSc Journalism and Media Studies, BSc Information and Media Studies, BSc Development Communication and BSc Strategic Communication.
“There are four departments in the Faculty: Broadcasting, Film and Multimedia Studies; Advertising and Public Relations; Information, Journalism and Media Studies; and Development and Strategic Communications.
“The Faculty is now awaiting the outcome of the NUC resource verification to admit students”.
