… Buhari says Adamawa will make history, producing first female governor in the country, pledges for support
The Lamido Adamawa, HRH Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the federal government presence in Adamawa under his administration.
The commendation was made Monday, when the President paid a courtesy visit to the monarch at his palace in Yola.
Part of the federal government presence in the state, other than addressing the security challenges, the monarch listed, include the conversion of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology to a conventional status with a view to expand academic programmes, establishment of Medical College in Modibbo Adama University, upgrading of the Federal Medical Centre Yola to a Teaching Hospital and the approval for the establishment of Federal Medical Centres in Mubi and Hong local governments of the state, in addition to the social welfare schemes aimed at empowering the citizenry.
President Muhammadu Buhari was in Adamawa state to grace the 2023 APC presidential and governorship flag off campaign, which was observed to be the mother of all campaign rallies in the state.
