I just read a very funny, misguided and fear induced lie by the opposition to the effect that Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani said she would not participate in any electoral contest if it involved a wholesale review of the results in the 21 LGAs of the state. Nothing could be further from the Truth. As a matter of fact, if INEC really wants justice to prevail in Adamawa State, a review of BVAS accreditation reports from all the polling units would have been the best way to achieve that.
Let INEC review and evaluate all the results. Let there be a proper juxtaposition of the results recorded on those result sheets with the numbers of persons who made themselves available for accreditation. Who is really afraid of such a verification? Definitely not Senator Binani.
We wish to make it abundantly clear that every vote recorded for Senator Binani was lawful and legitimate. She is not afraid of a wholesale review. She asked for it. She wants it. She demands for it. If those who are spreading this lie are sincere and believe that Senator Binani doesn’t support a wholesale review, let them counter her petition by presenting their own request for a review in all the 21 LGAs.
We put it in very clear and unmistakable terms that Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani is fully behind a full scale review of the March 28th election that took place in Adamawa State. She had put up a request for 16 because these were the places where the anomalies were crazily done with impunity. But due to the fact that all they relied on to win was fraud, they definitely perpetrated fraud in all the 21 LGAs.
Let us have a wholesale review please. If you place the gubernatorial election side by side with other elections conducted, you will easily see that the results of the gubernatorial election were inflated with bogus and unearned votes. If a review will expose such anomalies we wholeheartedly call for an urgent review in an open, honest and transparent manner. Who is afraid of a review of the process? Definitely not Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani.
Having failed in their propaganda to remove the toga of vote manufacturers, they have now retorted to hiring unknown and most often fictitious writers to malign Senator Binani. They create drama around her by lying about angry phone calls, dramatic walkouts and false pressures on people in the presidency. These are lies, lies and many lies. In view of the fact that the lies are not coordinated, one minute they claim she does not make or receive calls, the next minute they lie that she said something on the phone.
Let them know that Senator Binani relies on the goodwill of the people of Adamawa state. Neither high up contacts nor connections can muster the goodwill she garners from the good people of Adamawa state. Those who believe in high up connections are the ones who have mobilized a gang up of stakeholders, misguided religionists and sundry haters to stop her from winning an election that was easily won by her. Remove the fraud, remove the manufactured votes and remove the doctored result sheets Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani had won the election and ought to have been announced the winner.
We are aware that the constitution and the law says only the person who scored the highest lawful votes should be announced winner of an election. It is for this reason that Senator Binani is reiterating her demand for a review of the electoral results from the 16 Local Government Areas to confirm if the votes optioned by all the candidates are lawful and valid. However if the opposition believes that a wholesale review in all the 21 LGAs will provide a better result, then so be it. INEC should go ahead and conduct a wholesale review and the candidate with the highest lawful votes verified by the number of people accredited by the BVAS machines be declared winner. Who is afraid of a wholesale review of the gubernatorial election in Adamawa State? Certainly not Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani.
Let the dramatic lies end. Let the review take place in Adamawa State. Let it be done in an open and transparent manner. We await the result of the review.
