The Principal officers of INEC Tuesday, responded to the invitation of the Interpol on the recent Adamawa State Governorship election saga, the INEC officers invited are two National Electoral Commissioners, Prof Abdullahi Zuru, Dr. Bala Bila, and the REC, Barr Hudu Yunusa Ari.
Barrister Hudu personally appeared at about 8am Tuesday morning while the other national commissioners Prof Abdullahi Zuru and Dr. Bala Bila appeared at about 11am. Festus Okoye the INEC spokesperson is also one of the persons invited to appear before the Interpol team.
According to our source at the interpol in abuja, contrary to reports, Barrister Hudu was not arrested but went to the interpol in honour of the letter of invitation he received, the two national commissioners of INEC also responded likewise.
It can be recalled that letters of invitation to the INEC officials involved in the Adamawa Governorship election went viral on the social media a few days ago.
Barrister Hudu also granted an interview to the BBC where he acknowledged been invited and promised to honour the invitation among other brief revelations about the election, which he mentioned during the BBC interview.
