The Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Adamawa command Yola, Adamu Muhammed has solicited for the support of Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, MAUTH Yola, in terms of manpower training and medical facility to be able to effectively run their clinic at the border town in Gurin, Fufore local government area.
The call was made during the courtesy call paid to the security agency my the management of MAUTH seeking for continued collaboration.
The Comptroller commended MAUTH for the breakthroughs in healthcare delivery and for the improved NHIS service window, which he said the officers with their families are benefitting.
The Comptroller congratulated Prof Adamu Bakari Girei for his appointment as Chief Medical Director, CMD, MAUTH Yola, which he said was a right choice St the right moment for efficiency and effectiveness
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is a governmental organization responsible for border security and migration management, the Comptroller assured that issuance of international passport and patients crossing border to access healthcare services in MAUTH would be without hitches with due process.
The CMD MAUTH Yola said the purpose of the visit was due to the change of leadership and to seek for continued synergy.
Prof Bakari commended the NIS as security agency and promised to look into the area of empowering the NIS clinic for the benefit of officers and communities along the border.
