“FCE Yola To Host 2020 NICEGA Games, To Improve The Socioeconomic Status of Adamawa

The Federal College of Education, FCE Yola has the potentials of improving the socioeconomic status of Adamawa State by hosting the 20th edition of Colleges of Education Games Association (NICEGA), scheduled for 2020, the National President of the Association, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed has said.
The National President who is also the National Secretary of the Nigerian Football Federation stated this Thursday, in Yola, the Adamawa State northeast Nigeria, while interacting with journalists after a courtesy visit to the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Sanusi, who led the NICEGA Executive members to inform the Adamawa State Governor of the hosting right, granted the FCE Yola, solicited the support of the State Government for the successful hosting of the 2020 edition of the games in first quarter of next year.
Sanusi emphasised the significance of sports in fighting social vices, improving the economic fortunes of societies and means of youth empowerment also solicited support for the College.
“You can imagine the number of Colleges that will be storming Yola. You can also imagine how this will change the lives of petty business owners during the games,” Sanusi Said.
Sanusi further described FCE Yola as having the required facilities and the potentialities for the preparation to making the 2920 NICEGA games a success story.
Also speaking, the College Provost, Professor Abdul-Mumin Sa’ad solicited for the moral and financial supports from the Government and people of Adamawa State to be able to to host a befitting 2020 NICEGA games.
Sa’ad reiterated the commitment and readiness of the College to ensure a successful hosting of the games.
