The death of Dr. Bitrus Fidelis Chagwa came as a shocking news to Adamawa state, considering his unquantifiable contributions to humanity, not only as a Medical Doctor, not only as MD, CEO of a popular private hospital but also for his philanthropy and the philosophy of peace building for prosperity he assiduously upheld.
The Rotarian has done well, initiated people’s oriented projects can facilitated the implementation of same.
His record of active service as a staff with the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Yola, was that of unrelenting, untiring and no complaining doctor.
FMC Yola staff were in groups lamenting over the death. The staff with the Obstetric and Gynaecology department of the Centre said it is indeed an irreparable loss. “Even though he hadn’t been with us, having taken to full-fledged private practice as MD CEO New Boshang Hospital, we still felt his spirit, operating as a family.
The staff with the new Boshang Hospital were showered cold with the unfortunate news of the departed soul of their amiable boss as much as to his family, of their loving and caring brother, husband and father.
According to Dr. Babagana Kundi Machina, “Dr. Bitrus Fidelis Chagwa was among the senior colleagues I enjoyed working with the most while at FMC Yola. His demise today is a great loss to the medical community. A very hardworking and down to earth Clinician, I learnt Caesserian Delivery from him. May the Almighty console his family and colleagues. Ameen. Adieu my Chief!”
Some indigenes, hitherto indigent patients, would recount how he generously foot their unaffordable hospital bills, among other favours.
Dr. Chagwa, according to the family source, died in a hospital in Kano in the early hours of today and that all arrangements have been made to convey the corpse back to Adamawa state for burial.
