…Unlike the Rumbun Adamawa’s “RAGAJAB”, “Chanja Shi Otumba”, “O dilla Tan” and “Sai Matan Nan” slogans require no explanation, how to get to achieve the philosophies would depend on the strength of the opposition party(ies) manifesto(s) and the solid steps in climbing up to Dougirei Hill either individually or collectively in their individuation…
Little, Hon Idi Ali Amin, the Rumbun Adamawa, did know, when he was holding the chairmanship position of Maiha local government that he would thereafter respond to a disenchanted disappointment with the new found slogan “RAGAJAB!” when he was earlier showering encomiums, literally playing, however informally, the image maker of the governor, when he publicly declared that the fresh air governor was in terms of development, overspeeding, even when the development referred to being, praised about, was miles away from, the overspeeding was indescribably too slow to ever get to reach the local government for which he was serving as the council chairman, when he assured the community on several occasions that they should prepare a grand reception, to welcome their legitimate district head whose appointment was almost approved by the Adamawa state governor, the fresh air known to be a respecter of rule of law, equality before the law and the fundamental human right.
However, Rumbun’s narrative suddenly changed with the expiration of his tenure as council chairman and the story around the rather speedy approval of the appointment of the district head of Pakka, hitherto under Jalingo-Maiha district.
The appointment of the district head of Pakka, as observed by the entire communities of Maiha and Mubi local governments ought to be long after, not before the approval of the appointment of the Emirate Council selected and courts declared district head of Jalingo-Maiha.
Rumbun Adamawa’s RAGAJAB slogan could either mean the finality in challenging governor’s excesses or exposing his excesses. Only Rumbun Adamawa could explain the slogan.
Unlike the Rumbun Adamawa’s “RAGAJAB”, “Chanja Shi Otumba”, “O dilla Tan” and “Sai Matan Nan” slogans require no explanation, how to get to achieve the philosophies would depend on the strength of the opposition party(ies) manifesto(s) and the solid steps in climbing up to Dougirei Hill either individually or collectively in their individuation.
Over a month after a High Court in Yola served an order of mandatory injunction compelling the Adamawa state governor to approve the appointment of Mahmud Abubakar as the legitimate District Head of Jalingo-Maiha District, the palace still remains vacant, because the court order would not in finality be honoured by governor Fintiri for a fine-tune fine-tree, unfiltered fresh air in the community.
According to the Lagos based human rights activist, Yinka Dare, the primacy of the judiciary by means of dishonouring courts order, the rule of law, equality before the law and fundamental human rights are feared violated, where he asked how democratic rather than fascist the government is?
The electorates would not figure out “why the Adamawa State Governor is so much against the monarchy in and the nobility of Jalingo-Maiha to have warranted undue delay in the approval of the appointment of the court declared, Emirate Council selected district head, typical of denial of the legitimacy of the district headship and the primacy of the court and the judiciary.
“It’s not just a court and a judge but the Chief Judge of Adamawa State that has issued the judgement in line with the earlier high court and the appeal court judgements. So why is the executive undue delay in adhering to the court order and by implication, the rule of law?”
The court order read thus:
“In the High Court of Justice of Adamawa State of Nigeria in the Yola Judicial Division Holden At Yola Before His Lordship Hon Justice Nathan Musa (Chief Judge) This 15th Day Of June, 2022
Judgement: Between Mahmud Abubakar And Governor Adamawa State
