The voice of elders, it is said, serves as the voice of wisdom, especially the corrupt free, excused rather than accused characters. The voice of elders who see beyond the lesser class that could not raise their heads to look up or to see beyond, naturally comes to pass.
President Muhammadu Buhari is an elder statesman, a President of the most giant country in Africa and certainly not accidental, he addressed the Adamawa state APC governorship candidate, the lone lady in the 2023 race, Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani as the Governor-In-Waiting.
Even though the party primary elections that produced her, was by the federal high court voided, the appealing the judgement before the higher court gives hopes. the Governor-In-Waiting call, the electorates and sages would say, shall come to pass.
There are conflicting narrativisation, the pretty lame and disinteresting is that aimed at discrediting the capacity and capability of the Lady or Dame Binani, even with the generic cut-across gender electorates’ supports.
While the electorates are patiently waiting for the determination of the appeal court, as they are by their governorship candidate urged to remain calculatively calm, the citizenry keeps benefitting from the Binani’s senatorial interventions, initiative, task beyond promises and mission accomplishments; solar electricity installation, drilling of boreholes for portable water in a rather abandoned communities, skills acquisition initiatives, social welfare and other empowerment programmes that endeared her to the electorates.
The electorates are heard responding to the press that APC stands the chance of losing Adamawa State rather completely without the governorship candidate in Binani.
The strength of the party lies in the unity of the candidates. Any attempt at uncalculative divide, would aim at ruining the chances of the engaged.
There’s the wisdom in President Buhari referring to Binani as the Governor-In-Waiting. It isn’t an imposition. It’s the interest, the electorates’ call.
Adamawa electorates hold the Joker. It has another name against the candidate imposition; THE PROTOCOL OF PROTEST VOTES…
