It was an intimidating congregation of supporters trooping to the Yola International Airport, Adamawa state since 8:00am Saturday, waiting to welcome Her Excellency, Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, a.k.a Governor-In-Waiting, as President Muhammadu Buhari will refer to the lone lady governorship candidate.
There’s delay in the flight from Abuja, disappointing the 10:00am earlier announced landing schedule. The disappointment would however turn out to be a blessing as the overwhelming genuine generic supporters kept trooping to the airport.
Commodore AbdulAziz Nyako the Adamawa Central Senator-In-Waiting and Sen Ishaku Elisha Abbo are seen to have led the team to receive Binani and entourage at the Airport on behalf of the citizenry, The Periscope Global would gather.
About two hours later, the amazon, with the amazing entourage consisted of Hon Titsi Ganama the Deputy-Governor-In-Waiting, Sen. Ahmed Barata the DG, Binani campaign organisation, the former APC state chairman, Hon Ibrahim Bilal and the APC PCC’S state publicity committee chairman, Hon Ahmad I Sajoh to mention a few landed peacefully in the land whose beauty lies in the unity defeating dessention.
The appreciation rally has indeed attracted intimidating population of supporters that Sen Nyako has assessed as the second ever experienced after similar reception accorded to former governor Murtala Hammanyero Nyako, a.k.a Baba Maimangoro, to this projection Binani pitched her tent rather symbolically.
The train toured round the major streets in the state capital before terminating at the APC state secretariat where she was received by the leadership of the party.
Binani, having thanked God, said the victory before the law is a victory of the APC for returning the mandate of the party to fly the governorship ticket.
Binani has extended the hands of fellowship to fellow contenders she called her brothers, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Sen Muhammadu Umaru Bindow, Hon Abdurrazak Sa’ad Namdas and Hon Wafari Theman, which it is hoped, the leadership of the party would arrange a unity for victory meeting between and among them.
Binani said she expected congratulatory messages from the state leadership of the party; she did not know if she had committed any unknown offence to have cost her the support of the party leadership. But since she has not received any commendation letter, she decided to pay a congratulatory visit to the leadership of the party.
Binani thanked the Adamawa citizenry for the overwhelming support, which she prayed, would be extended to ensure victory for the party in the 2023 governorship elections
Earlier, Hon Barata, Sen Abbo, Hon Bilal and Sen Nyako spoke extensively on the need for the unity of the APC and the political coexistence of the party members.
Sen Nyako has called on the party to be faithful to the fate that Power and Authority belong to God and He gives same to, as well as take it from, whoever He wills. The question of envy against destiny or arrogating oneself the divine authority should not be accommodated.
Nyako Jnr in his characteristic critical thinking and strategy urged the party not to be defeated in any of the elective positions.
The state leadershership of the party, having warmly received the Binani entourage, assured full support to ensure victory to the party, where they recommended for all inclusiveness and trust for full participation during the governorship campaign.
