The best Presidential conjoined words that describe the Most Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani, the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa state, more than any other attribute in recent times, a Sage in Jalingo-Maiha would say, is the “Governor-In-Waiting,” following the “Sai-Matan-Nan” “Popular Call” (Kiran Jama’a).
A political pundit would point out that President Muhammad Buhari has every satisfactory reason to refer to Binani as the Adamawa Governor-In-Waiting, even when the sitting governor claimed that he killed APC in Adamawa; APC is dead in Adamawa; there’s no opposition party in Adamawa, as were variously reported, which by implication, Binani would have had no platform, referred to as political party to fly the governorship ticket to Dougirei Hill.
“The amazing amazon was not to be a disappointment when during the 1919 electioneering atmosphere, President Muhammadu Buhari presented her to the teeming Adamawa electorates at Ribadu Square in Yola, the state capital, as a capable candidate of the APC, with the capacity to represent Adamawa senatorial district rather adequately.
President Muhammadu Buhari must have projected in Binani, a worthy lawmaker beyond a constituency with an executive touchstone, also based on her previous effective and efficient representation and philanthropy when she was at the green chamber; beyond the best Adamawa had presented.
As a Senator, Binani has sponsored bills said to benefit not only her immediate constituency, her immediate state but also the country as a whole. She has facilitated so numerous to mention federal government interventions in the state.
Having been impressed with an accomplished senatorial mission as endorsed by the electorates, President Muhammadu Buhari would need not have a second thought to address Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani as the Governor-In-Waiting, even when the party primary election that produced her as APC governorship candidate was challenged before the law.
Now that all is cleared before the law, the question of who killed the APC, if at all it was dead, would not be established other than a mere executive propaganda generated out of what Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo would be pleased to describe as a temporary in-house turbulence the party experienced, President Muhammadu Buhari’s projection of Binani as the Governor-In-Waiting is gradually translating to reality.
The sage in Jalingo-Maiha would say that “here comes the lady governor, ready to honour the judgement delivered by a lady judge in a Yola High Court and affirmed by a lady led jury in the Appeal Court sitting in Yola; for the executive approval of the appointment of the court declared district head of Jalingo-Maiha that is withheld rather unduly, signifying executive denial of the judicial legitimation”.
