…Democracy Isn’t Shariah, Don’t Short-Change The Female Candidate…
….All the governorship candidates in Adamawa state are Muslims, Islam forbids tribalism or ethnic hate. Therefore, go for the best and most capable candidate with capacity to credibility…

Are you old enough to remember the “Ibrahim and Ladi” story? When the pure-hearted, sentiment-free, mostly female English teachers would ask the pupils, individually, to read what was mostly committed to memory some decades ago?
“It is Monday. All the children are going back to school…” Today is however Friday, the Muslims would be at the Mosques to observe Jumua’t prayers.
Mimbar manipulators are trying in vain to turn the day, the same way they have done previously to similar Fridays, aimed to politically short-change a female governorship candidate in not a Shariah, but constitutionally political Adamawa where none of the candidates is an Imam though all are Muslims.
The pupils; Ibrahim and Ladi, having passed though being students to graduates, are now skilful and prominent in their different, however difficult knowledge acquired.
As pupils, beyond ignorance-based-tradition, no Politico-Iman-Politician would point out where the pulpit criminalised Ladi of the school attended with the likes of Ibrahim, some decades ago, to have censored the education with determination or what aspiration, profession, occupation and/or position of authority from a pupil to a lady Ladi would eventually attain with the translated knowledge acquired.
Reporting from a Mosque in Maiha, a local government area in Adamawa state with more than 95% Muslim population; the only local government that the Fintiri led administration acknowledged as the Muslim populated, to have appointed Muslims as chairman and vice chairman in acting capacities, prior to the conduct of the local government elections, while 5 of the 21 local governments in the state are considered as entirely Christian dominated to have appointed Christians chairmen and vice chairmen and 15 of the 21 local governments, based on the appointments, to be considered as having relatively same population of the faiths professed; perhaps in the name justice to people of all faith.
Maiha, the only local government in which one of the districts; Jalingo-Maiha, is being denied her district headship over four years after the High Court judgement that ordered the state governor to approve the appointment of the legitimate district head; over two years with the Appeal Court determination that affirmed the High Court judgment. The district remains without a district head even with the mandatory injunction compelling the state governor to approve the appointment of the district head delivered by the Chief Judge of the state last year.
The Mimbar manipulators do not consider this as worthy mission to challenge a seeming executive injustice against a peaceful community; the peace nurtured, considered as weakness to manipulate with impunity, to deny the community of her traditional heritage against the law, in violation of their fundamental rights to justice.
The desperados trying in vain to manipulate mimbar and short-change the lone female governorship candidate in Adamawa state, clearly about to be the first female governor in the country, were faced with constructively courageous, knowledge based resistance when the Imam sought to know whether or not the Democracy is Islamic and/or whether or not the man, as a candidate the Mimbar (Pulpit) manipulators are promoting is an Imam full of iman to dispense leadership with justice, typical of the the Shariah system?
Failing to respond persuasively, the Imam decided to sermonise on having a strong Iman, as the theme of the Qutba, where societal reorientation is raised and addressed; where arrogance is traced to Satan and leaders are challenged on justice with humility, playing ther servant-leaders.
Reporting from a Mosque in Yola where the Mimbar would not be manipulated as well, the Imam addressed issues relating to justice and that the faithful should utilise their PVCs to decide for the country and the state, credible leaders with the capacity for justice and good governance without any consideration of gender as a barier or any manipulative sentiment.
“Let your choice, your votes be objectively based on legacy, capability, capacity and credibility of a candidate. Who has accomplished promises and tasks, not a failure whose strengths is to instigate enthno-religious sentiments for divide and rule. Incidentally, in Adamawa state, all the governorship candidates are Muslims and tribal or ethnicity based sentiment is forbidden in Islam,” the Qutba would charge the Ummah.
