Fulbe Development and Cultural Organization, FUDECO, through the Gashaka LGA Chapter under Taraba State, has delivered support in form of salaries for teachers, books, writing materials and a football for pupils of Alh Kala Nomadic School.
This is the third school benefiting from this initiative as part of the Education Fund donated by FUDECO leaders to benefit about 800 pupils in five schools.
In the first cohort, scholarships were handed over to 54 pupils in Serti. This is one of the seven schools that were created by FUDECO in Gashaka. One of the seven has been merged into existing schools.
FUDECO has created nine schools in Adamawa and Taraba states with a total number of over 2,000 pastoralist children attending.
FUDECO has also helped build existing schools in Nasarawa, Kaduna and Taraba states and sponsors students from Plateau, Bauchi, Borno, Adamawa and Nasarawa states.
The latest scholarships are part of an Education Fund initiated by FUDECO donated by FUDECO leaders.
Knowledge is power and the best way to address poverty, insecurity and community cohesion issues.
We sincerely thank our leaders who kicked off this Fund at very short notice and Gashaka LGA chapter for delivering the project.
The delegation led by Gashaka LGA Chapter Chairman Usman Bello included our Gashaka women leader Malama Asabe who has played a key role in supporting the schools.
ANI, a nature protection NGO is also accompanying FUDECO in this tour to raise awareness of nature protection.
If you would like to support these laudable initiatives, please send us a message INBOX or email: [email protected] or contact the nearest FUDECO chapter.
