The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was in Yola, Adamawa state yesterday, with some party bigwigs where he commissioned the state secretariat of the party amidst much fanfare.
Sen Kwankwaso was well received today in Mubi, the headquarters of the northern senatorial district of the state as though the son of the soil had arrived.
Some political pundits have pointed out that the teeming population of the people that celebrated the “coming of Kwankwaso to Mubi could largely be due to the popularity of not just the NNPP presidential candidate but also the party’s senatorial flag bearer in the central senatorial district of the state, Dr Abdullahi Dauda Belel, a.k.a DAB, the man of tremendous achievements, simply regarding as indefatigable, clearly unbeatable senatorial candidate.
The overwhelming electorates’ support received in Mubi was to say the least, a great expectation, one of the party members in Kwankwaso’s entourage made the fascinating remarks. “It shows that the central senatorial district is by representation taken over by the NNPP”.
Kwankwaso has promised to construct the abandoned terrible road connecting Yola to Mubi within six months if eventually elected president of the country.
Kwankwaso expressed his joy and appreciation for the reception given to him by the people of Mubi and the monarchy, the kind accorded to the returning worthy, contributing to the community son of the soil.
Kwankwaso was at the Mubi Emirate Palace as the first point of call for the royal blessing. It is a great honour to receive a presidential candidate who expressed concern on the devastation of the roads leading to Mubi Emirate that was abandoned for decades.
The royal father, the Lamido Mubi, HRH. Alh. Abubakar Isa Ahmadu has expressed delight for the concerns shown and the assurance to have the federal roads in the senatorial district not only revisited but to be constructed within 6 months.
Dr Abdullahi Dauda Belel, whom Dr Kwankwaso would be pleased to refer to as the distinguished Senator-In-Waiting, who assured that Kwankwaso’s assurance was a task to accomplish, has called on the electorates in the zone to come out en masse and vote for Kwankwaso, the President to be, and him as the Senator for Adamawa North senatorial district, with other NNPP candidates in the state.
