It is time for the citizenry of Adamawa state to get it right by understanding their differences and work in the spirit that strongly bound them together with a view, for the first time, to produce a President not just from the state but the northeast in general.
Alhaji Mohammed Haladu, Sardaunan Jimeta has made the call while responding to the newsmen in Abuja.
Haladu said the call was necessary considering the perceived conspiracy aimed at creating confusion within the PDP at the national level, targeted at demarketing the Presidential flag bearer, His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri Adamawa, rather than join in promoting the unifier to victory.
“A mother doesn’t throw away her son as much as one would not want to have his injured finger amputated rather than have it fixed.
“It is high time for us as a party in Adamawa state to unite in the making of a solid campaign force to bring to the consciousness of the citizenry, on the need to have a PDP government, both at the national level with our own Waziri and at the state level by bringing back Fintiri.
“The duo would also be more comfortable in providing dividends of democracy rather smoothly, if they should have the party members mounting the legislative chambers.
“The minister of state, Petroleum and Natural Resources, Mr Timipre Sylva, even though a member of the APC, could not help but to commend the milestone achievements recorded in Adamawa when compared with the last time he visited the state.
“This is invariably commending the achievements recorded under the PDP leadership of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, otherwise known as the fresh air governor.
“Worthy of commendations are how the governor addressed the ‘Yan Shila notoriety, he inherited, particularly in Jimeta and Yola and his resolve to solve youth restiveness with the fresh air initiative, by providing 4,000 vacancies for employment and another 600 in the state health sector.
“It is only natural that only a candidate would emerge from the contestants as much as it takes fate to remain faithful to the outcome of the conducted party primary elections; positive or negative. Governor Fintiri, by this design, ought to be excused rather than be silently condemned to failure by the same party members.
“We as a party, need to attract the confidence of the electorates with our unity to win the entire elections,” Sardaunan Jimeta said
