…Blames the governorship candidate, not anti-party due to antipathies against Binani, for the party’s setback
…Isn’t there a contradiction? Party’s setback in the governorship election heaped on the governorship candidate not power play and use of money to rig election as alleged with the state assembly rerun election…
…Is it a prelude to actualising the insinuation of the thought to have the political heroine out of the party she’s generously strengthened the popularity and restored electorate’s confidence, whose call from Muhammad Buhari Square echoed the entire state, the kind never experienced from a governorship candidate who isn’t a sitting governor?
…A weighty N200m state assembly election rigging allegation, PDP leadership may read APC leadership a riot act, demand a retraction before the law, lest the allegation is well established for the aggrieved to challenge the rigging rather than lamenting…
…Has Adamawa been a purely and pretty PDP state? Governor Fintiri prior to election declared that “APC is dead in Adamawa,” hadn’t former Governor Bindow been disgraced out of the contest in 2019, largely occasioned by anti-party activity?
…Will there be a formidable APC in Adamawa without the political heroine, the amazing amazon, the political trademark and the monarch certified household name; BINANI?
APC leadership in Adamawa state has accused the PDP led government of using power and spending over two hundred million Naira to rig elections in seven polling units (PU) to defeat its candidate during the Mayo-Belwa State Assembly rerun election.
Yunusa Abubakar a political analyst would ask, how much then could the PDP led government be said to have spent to rig the governorship main and rerun elections, if she could spend over N12 million naira on votes buying in the state assembly rerun?
According to TGNews, the APC state chairman Idris Shuaibu Esq, having commended “the commitment and unity of the party, alleged that PDP, the ruling party, had used money and power to buy votes from the electorates of Mayo-Belwa to oust the APC’s incumbent state assembly lawmaker Hon Italia from office.
“Government used the money to rig the rerun election. We did all our best, our party has truly worked out perfect plans to win but the government used all their assailants to rig the election.” Idris said
Nura Mohammed, a social commentator and IT specialist would argue that it’s a weighty allegation that would require justification lest it is challenged by litigation, “A weighty N200m state assembly election rigging allegation, PDP leadership may read APC leadership a riot act, demand a retraction before the law, lest the allegation stands for the aggrieved to challenge the rigging”.
The APC state leadership has also heaped anthill of blame on the loved by the citizenry across the state governorship candidate of the party, not anti-party due to antipathies against the Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani, for the party’s setback during the 2023 governorship election in the state and the court cases that followed.
According to TGNews reporting the party leadership “No doubt about it, Adamawa is an APC state with daily records of politicians from PDP cross carpeting to the Party, we must sanitize the party and leave a legacy that will bring the party into a state of discipline”.
PDP members cross carpeting to the party that the PDP led governor declared as dead and whose section of the membership played the anti-party script as alleged, against their most popular and populous candidate with the citizenry across the state? Yunusa Abubakar would ask.
The leadership of the party would want a reviewed narrativisation as a departure from the collective anthem in chorus that APC is dead, moralising Fintiri, without Binani.
“We must stand, work, and unite for the progress of party supremacy. Let’s change the notion that APC will not exist without Binani. God’s willing PDP will be history in Adamawa State.” Idris said.
