Modibboo Adama University Teaching Hospital, M.A.U.T.H Yola Adamawa state is yet to fully enjoy the services of water supply from Yola water station, after having bought the pipes, paid for the connection from the Yola ancient city treatment plant and made the six months upfront service charges payment, contrary to some media reports.
The management was earlier informed that there was sufficient water at the Yola water station reservoir, the hospital needed just to buy pipes and pay for the connection from the water station to the hospital.
There was however no water after the connection and upfront payments of service charges for six months, even though the water treatment plant services other places.
It is based on the unfortunate development that the state commissioner of water resources visited the hospital to find out what went wrong.
It was owing to the visit that water was pumped to the hospital for about an hour. After the Commissioner’s visit water was pumped about four times; once a week, out of which the longest was pumped for just about three hours and the Yola water station officials were requesting for upward review of payment of the water supplied, even though the earlier payment has not elapsed.
The citizenry should disregard the media reports that M.A.U.T.H Yola is being supplied adequate water from the Yola water station
