…Thank Your God you are not at home – Threatening Note
Hoodlums suspected to be assailants are believed to have in the early hours of Thursday, broken into the Kaduna residence of a journalist and publisher of TG News online, Mr. Tom Garba.
The unfortunate incident was reportedly discovered by the gateman, who was said to have returned to discover that the house he was earning a living keeping security of was broken into, saying that the hoodlums gained access to by jumping the fence from an uncompleted property and entered the building by burrowing holes through the Plaster of Paris (POP) ceiling
Mr. Tom Garba confirmed the incident, via telephone conversation. He said he was at his hometown when he received the disturbing message from his gateman.
According to him, he was told that the invaders made away with several valuables from his residence.
“They made a clean sweep with everything they could remove, including curtains and mattresses,” he informed.
When asked if he has reported the matter officially to the police, he said he would do so when he comes back to Kaduna.
The TG News Publisher said that what is most worrisome, is a threat letter left behind by the hoodlums.
“The unknown hoodlums left a shocking note, ‘Thank Your God you are not at home,’ which sounds like a threat,” he said.
