When two elephants fight one needs not be told the consequences to befall the grass, worse still the farmlands as the setting or the contest ground.
The scramble for power and authority is elitist, the poor wouldn’t dare the contest devoid of Godfatherism yet the poor is purely to decide the elected, hence the ill-informed, the misinformed and the no future ambition from among bereft of conscience poor, wouldn’t give it a thought that it would amount to servitude a mortgaged mandate by falling into the web of vote buying, manipulated to constitute political violence and ballot box snatching.
In more of a vox-populi, some electorates in Adamawa state expressed delight over the declaration of inconclusive by the INEC, resulting from the governorship elections, more particularly with the Fufore local government conflicting results manufactured out of manipulation, arguing that it would be another avenue for making money from the governor seeking to self-succession with the seeming sounding success supporters based on either of the unmanaged uncontrolled bias, who did not consider social welfare and empowerment as anything worthy but being threatened to humiliating defeat by the Binani political Tsunami resulting from her unending series of special social welfare schemes, would eventually have to pretend returning to the conscious reality that the poor are indeed hungry and that N50,000 each as intervention to be benefitted even by the very few citizens, would attract for him the electorate’s forgiving sympathy, to be suspended immediately after the victory.
The group would argue that the closed luck could have been unlocked by the inconclusive declaration for the consideration of another N50,000 for vote empowerment intervention.
Other groups that formed the majority, simply responded that hope of success lies in the announcement of inconclusive. “It means that the youth and women would not be rigged out of good governance where social welfare and skills acquisition empowerment programmes for self-reliance would be placed as purely genuine priority.
“It would be a great misfortune not having the amazing Amazon of blessed fortune as a Governor in Adamawa state. Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani indeed touches the lives of the entire citizenry as Binani beneficiaries beyond the state government, if we are to moralise in a positive perspective, the poet John Pepper Clark-Bekederemo’s ‘Casualties’. The impact of her contributions to education, health, agriculture, provision of potable water, transportation, solar electricity, sports, employment, appointment, youth and women empowerment to become self-employed, hence improved revenue drive to the state, the effective and efficient representation both as a House of Representatives member and currently, a Senator and other overwhelming interventions in special social amenities cannot be overemphasised.
“These, we fear will suddenly come to an end if she’s rigged out, translating to us being disenfranchised of a worthy, kind, caring carry-all along compassionate and courageous mother, with the credibility, capacity, capability and compelling competency, in this considered context, to get Adamawa state out of the maze by, as a responsibility, restoring public confidence in good governance as a gracious governor.
“So we are blessed with Prof Mele’s final vocabulary, you could consider as conclusion, the declaration of “inconclusive” that will eventually expose the acts inimical to ethical election, taking as a do or die affair simply to render as misfortune the future fortune of the citizenry by systematically rigging Binani, in this context, out of the contest.
“We pray to God as we’re fasting, in the spirit of the blessed month, Binani the electorate’s decided, should have her about to be stolen mandate recovered,” the electorates as participatory audience, would in chorus contribute rather proudly loudly “ameen!”
