His Excellently the former Vice President and PDP Presidential Candidate, Alh Atiku Abubakar the Waziri Adamawa has observed Eid prayers at the ancient Eid ground in the ancient city of Yola, while the Adamawa state Governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri observed the Eid prayers at Hong local government area of the state.
Yola remains the monarchical headquarters of the Adamawa Emirate and Fombina dynasty for which Hong traditional institution is under.
The Waziri Adamawa, it is said, has represented the Lamido Adamawa, HRH. Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa Friday at the Eid ground.
The development has generated speculations, building background to the possibilities and/or reason Fintiri, as a Governor, would not observe the Eid prayer along with the Waziri Adamawa, he regarded as a father and political mentor, in the ancient Eid ground of Yola.

In his remarks after observing the Eid-El-Fitr prayers, Fintiri said Nigerians are expected to be patient, persevere, love each other and cohabit as instructed by the beloved Prophet Mohammed. He urged the citizens to live by the dictates of their religions for the overall interest of the nation.
Earlier in her goodwill message, Binani, the courageous and compassionate political heroine, while felicitating with Ummah as an entity, she sued for peace, patience, perseverance, purity of purpose, supplicating mind and forgiving heart.
The pastoralist, the amazing amazon, reminded the citizenry that the unity in ethnoreligious diversity must not be compromised, citizens should resist any attempt to divide and bamboozle. They should be strong in faith not to submit to the devilish device, purely to pursue political whims.
She said, “we must consider Adamawa and the country first, not self against the state and citizenry, as power belongs to God not propaganda and political thuggery. We should dedicate this devotional period in prayers for the greatest good to our state a/nd the country in general”.
