First let me confess that I am using the term servant loosely. It is not necessarily about servitude. It is more about the service rendered as in civil servant or public servant. I believe it is not wrong to consider the aide of public office holders as working on a delegated public service mandate.
So, when a loyal and dedicated personal aide of a public official uses his delegated mandate to make negative confessions about the boss and the system he or she runs, it becomes a shocker. Recently I saw one such confession that really shocked me to my borne marrow.
How could any sane person confess to behaving irrationally? Was it done in error?
Certainly, it was not done in error at all. It was a confession that only a loyal aide can make.
By loyal, I mean an insider, one who understands the mindset of the master and who was also part of the whole process of irrational thinking and irrational actions. To say they will never act irrationally again is itself a confession that many more irrational behaviours should be expected.
Irrationality is an attitude. It is not a one-off behaviour and it is addictive. So, we should expect more. That much was confessed further and I will point that out in the course of this discourse.
What is the definition of irrational behaviour?
Perhaps the fellow who made the confession did not ask himself this question before making the confessions.
Irrational behaviours of individuals include taking offense or becoming angry about a situation that has occurred or even not yet occurred, expressing emotions exaggeratedly, maintaining unrealistic expectations and engaging in irresponsible conduct such as weaponization of violence as a means of achieving some set goals.
Now we know where the anger, the morbid fear, the violence, the anxiety, the blackmails and delusions all come from. Irrational behaviour or action refers to reasoning that is inconsistent with logic or normal actions. How could any normal person or group of persons confess to being irrational?
Is it that their group of supporters have also become so delusional that they hail and clap for every nonsense that is spewed by their assumed “heroic” writers?
Or is it that the writers take it for granted that anything they write or say will receive positive nods from their gullible supporters? That is unfortunate.
Some of them call themselves professionals. But lack of analysis of their thought processes before they put pen to paper is itself the logical betrayer of their quackery.
In addition, their name calling and blackmails all point to both their shallow reasoning and unprofessionalism. In their often-infantile rantings they have used my name severally to the point of using some blackmail materials to attempt to drive home their points. But now that they confessed to being irrational, I really appreciate where they are coming from.
They are irrational so they can say or do anything. But do they have the fear of God or the respect of the public God put in their care and trust?
When the chips are down, these should provide a break to all irrational behaviour. Unfortunately, only rational people know that.
Is there any proof that our Irrational friends were indeed irrational in some of their actions?
What did they do throughout the run-up to the elections right through to the elections?
Do these actions qualify as irrational behaviour beyond just a simple confession by one of them? Is it worth the confession?
Irrational actions refer to those actions or decisions that are not based on reason or sound judgment. It is characterized by excessive display of negative emotions influenced by delusional psychological factors that influence decision-making. Nothing logical or evidence-based thinking should have been part of these actions to qualify them as irrational.
We have several of such actions including of course the barbaric assault on some individuals who were pulled out of the sanctuary of their hotel rooms and brutalized in the now infamous “mistaken identity” saga. To believe that they could torture an individual to confess to a false crime was indeed not just irrational but animalistic.
It was as if we are in a jungle where might is right. One minute they lied to themselves and the world that they had a simple task of winning the elections against a weak candidate. The next minute they become obsessed with subterfuge, unholy alliances with opposition renegades and other forms of anxiety induced irrational actions bothering on psychotic disorders.
I believe the conversion of a simple victory celebration into a bizarre display of religious bigotry was all part of the irrational behaviour being confessed to. The writer even confessed to insanity on their part.
What? So, we are so unfortunate as a state to be governed by a self-confessed group of insane people. Imagine this very disturbing confessional statement. “We now know that to think rationally is not the best at all times. In the future we will think rationally, but make room for the irrational. We will make room for the bizarre and the insane”
Do their principals read those writings? If they do, how will they take to being told they have been insane?
To rub it in properly the writer said they (I believe including the principal) will always make room for insanity in their behaviour. I cringe to think of people with power and authority confessing that they are prepared to behave in a bizarre and insane manner. The constitution provides that a Chief executive enjoys immunity because he or she is expected to behave reasonably or rationally.
The Red Biro in the hands of state Chief Executives represent power over life and death. A person sentenced to death by a competent Court of Law cannot be executed unless the state chief executive signs the death warrant. These are not powers that require irrational, bizarre or insane behaviour.
One of the reasons for the litany of irrational behaviours celebrated today is on account of the temporary victory given by the electoral body INEC. Let the assumed victors know that a pronouncement by the electoral body arising from a flawed electoral process cannot provide the comfort of embarking on “irrational behaviour.”
Perhaps it may be necessary to inform the confessional jubilant that 1,490 seats were contested for in the 2023 circle of elections. Out of this number 1,044 or 70% are before different Tribunals across the country.
This is indeed a clear indication that the conduct of the election by the electoral umpire falls below acceptable standards. To say there will be several upsets at the courts is to make an understatement.
We know for certain that some of the promoters of infantile triumphalism are fully aware of the weakness of their case at the Tribunal. Thus, they have been running from pillar to post, trying to appease some political godfathers in order to help out with an obviously basket case.
Let me end this discourse by letting our “self-confessed” irrational friends know that in contrast to them, we shall continue to conduct ourselves rationally and with dignity and honour. We will neither descend to insanity nor behave irrationally.
Let them also be informed that winners are magnanimous in victory not mad at opponents.
Winners are humble in disposition, not insanely arrogant.
Winners are thankful to God not vindictive towards others.
Winners promote peace and not
weaponize violence.
Winners are happy, rational people, not sad irrational people.
Choose this day where you belong oh my irrational friends!
