…Will the swearing in usher in another Muslim hate violence instigated celebration?

Adamawa State was blessed with a heavy downpour Sunday, long after the scarry break.
The last experienced this rainy season was during the last ten blessed days of the blessed month of Ramadan, when in the name of jubilation, following another INEC’s declaration, presenting the sitting governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, a.k.a Fresh Air as he that scored the highest votes, hence the Governor reelect, contrary to the earlier INEC declaration that was in peace received with supplications and thanksgiving, which presented Her Excellency, Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani, the political heroine Adamawa state ever produced as the first female elected governor in the country.
There was the Muslim hate, ethnoreligious violence instigated jubilation following the Prof Mele’s INEC announcement of Fintiri as the governor elect in some parts of the state, namely, Yola South, Yola North, Numan and Ganye as was reported, where some ladies offered themselves freely for open street sex on the prayer mats before burning it along with rosary (tasbih), hijab and kettles for ablution.
There was also the Buruku Bath on the street followed by killing of goats, dogs and pigs as the video went viral, where Governor Fintiri was invited, as though not a Muslim and the people of Madagali to join in the feasting.
Some media, especially the online and other disturbed citizens have via the social media handles, lamented the unfortunate ugly incident, never heard of, not even ever thought would ever be experienced in the multi ethno-religious, peaceful and mutual coexisting Adamawa, as a legacy of the 2023 electioneering atmosphere that accommodate vengeance and vendetta as slogans.
The experience went with the fasting Muslims keeping calm, submitting the threatening experience to Allah SWT, begging for His intervention, rather than opting for vengeance. After all, it were the irreligious among the non Muslims and not the pious Christians that would consider the threat to peace by reducing the state to the city of sin in the name of celebration.
“Other than the call for calm by the amazing amazon, generally among the high political elites described as the Governor-In-Waiting, neither the Fatwa warriors of anti Binani sermons nor any faith based group or even the government came out to condemn the disintegrating incident,” social commentators lamented.
A day later, Allah SWT sent down a heavy downpour to wash away the sin on the street, leaving the unrepentant sinners, supported by the authority’s silent, to wallow in their guilt of sinning.
Would there be a repeated ethnoreligious violence instigated jubilation, to be greeted by supportive silence after the swearing in just about a few hours ahead?
Yola is again blessed by a heavy downpour a few hours ago, which lasted considerably long, it is said to be long after the downpour experienced previously that cleansed the streets of the open street sex, killing swine to dine and wine with Buruku bath and prayer mats burning among other sins.
The downpour is indeed a metaphor. It’s a blessing and a warning if only the story of the perished nation can be reflected upon.
