…It’s not over until it’s ultimately over..
The Court of Appeal Abuja Division on Monday, dismissed an appeal filed by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani challenging INEC’s declaration of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as the winner of the governorship election in Adamawa State.
The appeal court upheld the Adamawa election petition tribunal’s judgment that affirmed Fintiri’s victory.
Commenting on the judgment, one of the key stakeholders in the Binani camp, Alhaji Umar Mustapha Madawaki, a.k.a Otunba of Ekiti who attended the Appeal Court’s judgment said “it’s not over, we’ll proceed to supreme court to reclaim stollen mandate”.
Supreme Court has the final say unless otherwise aggrieved doesn’t wish to go beyond the Appeal Court judgment in the case of the governorship election petition.
