Adamawa state Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has charged transition committee Chairmen to restructure the security architecture of their localities in the interest of the people deserving and desirous of peace.
The Governor made the change Thursday, during an interactive session with the chairmen in the Council Chambers Government House, Yola.
The interactive session was to among other things to address the primary responsibility of the chairmen as well as to strategise ahead of the forthcoming local council elections in the state
Fintiri reminded them on the need to improve the security architecture of their respective localities.
The governor stressed the need for the chairmen to liaise with critical stakeholders in their local government areas to achieve their given responsibilities.
The governor cautioned against embarking on elephant projects that could not be completed within the 3 months tenure, even though he noted that government is a continuous process.
The government urged the local council executive to join hands with stakeholders in their localities so that the dominance of People’s Democratic Party (PDP ) will be maintained to ensure that the party emerges victorious in the forthcoming local government elections.
Earlier Chairman of the Transition committees forum, Engr Suleiman Gangkuba appreciated the Governor for his leadership style which has brought unprecedented strides across the state.
The ALGON Chairman expressed gratitude to governor for entrusting such responsibility on them, with the assistance that they would not be a disappointment to him and the ruling party.
Gangkuba pledged to work with the party executives and stakeholders to ensure victory of the party in the upcoming polls and to be good ambassadors of the Fintiri led administration.
The meeting, at this juncture, went into closed door session.
