The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has tendered an apology even though he said he didn’t mean what people must have misunderstood him as having heard the Fulani president hate theology he has found a governorship vocation to proselytise, while referring to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Ortom who was responding to questions from Journalists in Bauchi, during a consultation meeting by the ‘G-5 Integrity Group’ on Wednesday said: “I want to say that the statement people are holding on was not what I meant when I was captured saying that.
“But all the same, I know that it would amount to logical fallacy. I want to say to those who are so offended by my remarks, I am very sorry. I didn’t mean that”.
The questions the critical Fulani literarily asked is was Ortm under the influence of liquor or ethnocentric charged for the daredevil dysentery like diatribe and/or did he apologise simply because the interview was conducted in Bauchi, one of the Fulani stronghold states?
